What is HABA?

The Hoosier Association for Behavior Analysis is Indiana’s state chapter of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). HABA as an organization primarily focuses on the promotion of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in an ethical, humane, and effective fashion in the state of Indiana.

What is HABA’s purpose?

There are several!

  • Promote the basic science upon which behavioral technology was founded.
  • Support the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as the appropriate credentialing body for practitioners in ABA in Indiana.
  • Serve the professional community as a reference group for other practicioners concerned with ABA.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly conferences focusing on research and professional practices in ABA.
  • Offer opportunities for BCBAs and BCaBAs to earn CEUs
  • Facilitate and conduct peer review committees
  • As an affiliated chapter, promote participation in activities organized by ABAI.

Why join HABA?

HABA provides students, parents and practicing professionals with the opportunity of networking with other individuals within ABA in Indiana while keeping up with the latest developments ABA offers as well. HABA also provides members the important opportunity of involving themselves in the promotion and advancement of ABA in Indiana through various subcommittees like public policy and more!

As a member, how do I get involved?

Think about what you’d like to be involved in and come to a quarterly meeting! You’ll find the schedule here. Following each featured presentation at these quarterly meetings, subcommittees meet to discuss their respective topics.
